Description of Responsibilities:

• Extensive knowledge with medical device construction methods such as; joining, forming, cleaning, and assembly.

• Extensive knowledge of medical grade materials for molding and metal forming.

• Interact with the manufacturing staff through all phases of product and process development. Can direct other engineers and technicians under a project format.

• Prepare and follow project schedules for process development and product introductions. Prepare and execute product validation protocols for the prototype design phase through production release.

• Organize and prepare formal design reviews.

• Perform bench testing, animal testing and other laboratory work.

• Create CAD drawings using SolidWorks and all related support manufacturing documentation using MS Office.

• Ability to use standard machine shop equipment and Q.C. equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum 8 years experience in the medical device industry.
