This upstream marketing position is responsible for leading & managing products, including the mobile and web software applications that support the sale of across professional channels. Responsibilities include managing the entire customer experience for all related medical devices and ancillary products, as well as all related software products, with the goal of improving the functionality of the   appliance, as well as the ease-of-use and simplicity of all interactions with patients from consideration through purchase and recommendation.
This high-visibility leadership position will lead a cross-functional team in the planning and execution of new product initiatives across the entire product mix from inception through launch and post-launch monitoring, tracking and analyzing business results, ensuring that the “voice of the customer” is sufficiently captured and integrated in all product solutions delivered to the marketplace. Also important will be staying current with the nascent clear aligner marketplace and maintaining a thorough understanding of emerging competitive offerings.
  • Become the market expert for the product portfolio, and lead the innovations that impact the Invisalign orthodontic appliance and all mobile and web software communication tools.
  • Keep abreast of the latest market trends and the wider macro-environment and maintain awareness of how this may affect the Invisalign product and broader business.
  • Develop and maintain intimate knowledge of the consumer’s preferences and practices that relate to a doctor’s prescription, treatment delivery, and the overall treatment journey experience.
  • Maintain an awareness of the competitive landscape and actively seek to stay current with new competitive innovations and product offerings.
  • Act as the ‘champion’ for new product innovation endeavors internally, providing support and training to all internal stakeholders in the company to aid in the learning and up-take of critical information related to new innovations.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, then initiate new market research to gain actionable insights to drive product development activities to support the broader vision of the company.
  • Initiates and creates business cases for new product innovations to support and justify the execution stage of new product innovations.
  • Works cross-functionally to develop and maintain product roadmaps for major product lines and to initiate the review of new ideas and the pursuit of approved initiatives.
Additional responsibilities:
  • Ensures the effective fulfillment of objectives and deadlines assigned to the group.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • BS/BA required, preferably in healthcare, engineering, technology, or business-related field.  MBA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or marketing management within the Medical Device Industry
  • Experience with technology-based products, mobile &web-based software products as a product or marketing manager
  • Experience in both upstream and downstream marketing functions
  • Craniofacial or Dental Industry experience is a plus.
